As of 11 August 2014 the Hungarian Public Road Non-profit Ltd. will also provide route ticket selling services in the electronic toll collection system for vehicles which need route permit. The advantage of comprehensive administration is that oversize or overweight vehicles can purchase their route permit and route ticket at the same time, at the same place.
Previously the Hungarian Public Road Non-profit Ltd. determined the route for vehicles which need route permit in the route permit issued by the Ltd., but the route ticket could only be purchased via the sales points of the National Toll Payment Services Plc.
From now on, the Hungarian Public Road Non-profit Ltd. provides two types of services at its 33 monitoring locations for vehicles which need route permit (public road management contribution): it prepares route plans and it provides an opportunity for purchasing a route ticket. The county directorates of public road management and the centre of the Hungarian Public Road Non-profit Ltd. are still available for the clients exclusively for the preparation of route plans, so in these cases it is still possible to purchase a route ticket at the own sales points of the National Toll Payment Services Plc., at its resellers or in its customer service offices.
At the stations it is currently possible to pay with cash (EUR, HUF) and also with a bank card, but the company also examines the methods and possibilities of fuel card payment.
