From 12 AM GMT on 11 July 2015 (Saturday), the new speedway road section M43-A1 (between Makó and Nagylak) connecting Hungary with Romania will be subject to toll payment in the HU-GO electronic toll system for cargo vehicles with a maximum permissible gross weight over 3.5 tons. The e-vignette system is not affected by the change.
The HU-GO electronic toll system of the National Toll Payment Services Plc has been prepared for the change and it will be capable of calculating with the newly completed sections from 12 AM on 11 July 2015 during route planning.
If you perform your toll declaration obligation using the on-board unit (OBU) via a toll declaration operator, and you have sufficient balance, then you have no further obligation, as in this case toll declaration is performed automatically.
Please note that the new border crossing station (M43) is not eligible for cargo vehicles transporting dangerous goods (ADR) or goods subject to animal or plant health inspection obligation. These cargo vehicles may use the old Nagylak (H) - Nadlac (RO) border crossing station.
