From 1 August goods motor vehicles cannot enter the Nepomuki Szent János bridge at Bonyhád – they can detour on main road no. 6 free of charge
Due to the technical condition of the Nepomuki Szent János bridge at Bonyhád, the Hungarian Public Road Non-profit Ltd. decided to limit the passing goods motor vehicle traffic. Heavy vehicles which are diverted from the bridge can use main road no. 6 during the restriction free of charge.
The Hungarian Public Road Non-profit Ltd. has recently conducted a comprehensive examination on the Nepomuki Szent János bridge at Bonyhád. According to the professional opinion, the capacity of the bridge is not sufficient anymore, so the operator will limit the passing goods motor vehicle traffic from 1 August 2014, 8 a.m. The limitation will cover a bit more than a 300-metre section of the Bonyhád-Tevel-Murga connecting road, which includes the bridge as well, until the end of the planned reconstruction works on the bridge. The preparation works of the investment have already begun, and according to the plans the implementation can start next year.
During the limitation, goods motor vehicles can detour on the section between the junction at Zrínyi and Deák Ferenc Street of the main road no. 6 and the connection of the Bonyhád-Dombóvár connecting road. Until the end of the limitation, the tolled section of the main road which has been appointed for detouring can be used free of charge, and the route planner of HU-GO will plan the route according to the limitation and the detouring routes.
